Can I still stop by your brick and mortar store?
Bargain Bytes is now 100% online, we no longer operate a brick and mortar store out of our facility. You can find all available equipment on our eBay store from the convenience of your own home. If you live in the Sioux Falls area, local pickups are available if you prefer to pick up your equipment instead of have it shipped to you.
Can I still drop off my old electronics for recycling?
Even though the name has changed on our building, we still accept electronics for recycling. Learn more here.
What does "refurbished" really mean?
Bargain Bytes obtains devices from many different sources. Any device that comes in must be thoroughly checked over and tested, which gives it the “refurbished” label. In some cases, equipment comes in without even being used. More common reasons are due to cosmetic damage like dents or scratches, visible defects like a dead pixel, or broken optical drive that can be fixed, or business refreshes when a company upgrades their systems and replaces the previous items, even if they are in perfect condition.
What are the benefits of buying refurbished?
The most obvious benefit of buying refurbished is the price, typically saving you between 10 to 50% off the new price. Beyond cost-saving, refurbished products actually go through a higher level of quality control, not just at a large facility overseas where it’s all about speed and quotas. With a refurbished product, it’s less a matter of quantity per day and more a matter of making sure it’s done right.
How do I know a refurbished device won't fail?
Although refurbished equipment is often stigmatized as faulty rejects, the devices we offer are repaired, reconditioned, and retested to be as good as new. Beyond checking for dents and functionality, we conduct rigorous testing and have a good reputation among customers (see our eBay feedback). If, for any reason, you are not 100% satisfied with your purchase within 30 days of receipt, you may return this product for a full refund. Please note that using a Freight-Forwarding Service voids eBay’s 30-Day Guarantee. We do not accept return requests from international locations and will only provide return freight from the original Ship To location.

How do I know my order has been placed successfully?
We will send you an acknowledgement email on successful completion of an order. This email will detail the order that you have placed and will give you an order reference number. We would advise you to keep this email safely as you will need your order reference number for any further queries which you may have. Failure to provide us with an order reference number on request may result in a delay with your inquiry.
I did not receive a confirmation email
Please contact us if you do not receive an acknowledgement email and we will make sure it is not a problem with our system. Acknowledgement emails are generated and sent automatically once an order has been successfully completed. You may need to check your mailbox as it may be treating our emails as spam or junk mail and you should check your spam or junk mail folders to make sure they have not gone directly to this location. You may also need to ensure that all of the details entered are correct, please pay particular attention to your payment card details, email address and delivery addresses.
The item I am looking for is out of stock. What should I do?
All items are subject to availability and inventory may change daily. Due to the ever-changing types of equipment arriving at our facility from SEAM‘s recycling services, we cannot guarantee any specific item will remain in-stock or will be available in the future. Please continue to check back if you are looking for a specific item or contact us to see if we may have some coming in.
What is your return and exchange policy?

In the very rare case your item does not arrive as described, we will work diligently to ensure your satisfaction and make it right.
